KJP Can Be Used in Traditional Market

To facilitate Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) holders in the capital, Jakarta Provincial Government had provided the Electronic Data Capture (EDC) to support debit system in bookstore and some traditional and modern markets.

"KJP can be used as debit-card in shops which have EDC Bank DKI device or Prima Network," told Susie Nurhati, Division Head of Technical Management Unit (UPT) for Personal Education Financing Operations Central Planning and Control (P6O), Wednesday (7/29). 

Nurhati explained, besides in Gramedia and Gunung Agung bookstore, the fund can be used in modern markets such as Carrefour, Hypermart, and BATA shoes store using debit system. Not only that, it is also applicable in stationers that spread in Asemka, Jatinegara, Tanah Abang, and Senen Markets.

"KJP can be used in all outlet which incorporated in Prima Network, it is like ATM Bersama including in the market that often visited by citizens," she uttered.

She said, in accordance with the statement of Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), the KJP holders can also use it to buy uniform, shoes, and so on.

"As information from Bank DKI on July 28 at 8.05 PM, the amount of KJP transaction outside the Jakarta Book Fair is Rp 2.8 billion," she revealed.
